    Hello everybody!

I'm finding some trouble at translating a History book into English.

Could anyone tell me how do you say "mayor general" in English? The whole sentence is the following:

Thanks a lot for your help.

    Hola MIss Llight
    Espero haberte ayudado.

In fact the book is written in Spanish so I'm completely sure that this graduation used to exist in the XVIII century, as this book is about the history of Gibraltar and it focuses on the Great Siege.

Thanks a lot though, I'll keep on investigating.
