Este es un instrumento muy util para estos menesteres. I was wondering if anyone could translate "menesteres" in this particular instance. Thanks in advance.

I'm sorry but "menesteres" are not "purposes".

    "Menesteres" is something more physical:

    menester.
    (Del lat. ministerĭum).

    "Purpose" is more cerebral:

    pur·pose (pûrpəs)
    n.

Work? Functions? Duties? Activities? Capacities? No way to know how to translate it properly without context.
