I need some help with the translation of a medical term that came up in a novel I'm translating into English.

"Es una fractura en la meseta tibial, requiere cirugía"

I've translated it as: "It's a fracture in the tibial plateau, it needs surgery."

I'm not certain if the word plateau, or even landing, fits in the sentence.

Thanks in advance for your help.

Hola. Yo diría: "It is a tibial plateau fracture, needing surgery".
    Saludos.
