    Hola:

Mi regalo fue un CD de Rihanna.

My present was a Rihanna's CD

They gave me a Rihanna's CD

A Rihanna's CD?

    Saludos

the possessive "s" is not permitted with the indefinite article "a"

They gave me Rihanna's CD or My present was Rhianna's CD (best Choice)
    or
They gave me a Rihanna CD or my Present was a Rhianna CD. (though this sounds a little awkward)

Yo diría: I was given a Rihanna CD.

What Ali said does make sense and is correct grammatically speaking. However, it would be acceptable and understood to say "They gave me Rihanna's CD"

    Saludos
