nach dem Tod / nach dem Tode
What is the difference in meaning?
The dative ending -e is dropped in modern language. In set phrases it has sometimes survived (nach Hause, nach dem Tode, am Fuße des..., etc). That's all it is.
Here's more info: Dative with and without e.
Separate names with a comma.
