Is this an accepted word in french? I do not find "neuneu" in my Petit Robert.

Yes, it's French French. The term is quite common.

'Tu me prends pour un neuneu ?' (what do you take me for, a fool?)
'T'es neuneu, ou quoi ?' (what are you, retarded?)
'Il est un peu neuneu' (he's kind of retarded)

Thank you for the information. I guess that we should see this word in the next issue of "Le petit Robert". Thanks again.

Just to complete the response, my Robert & Collins French-English dictionary (8th edition, 2006) gives:
neuneu* / nønø / NM (= idiot) dummy*

Very interesting. Just curious to know if it is in the latest issue of Le Petit Robert. Mine is old (2006) and it is not in there.
