    Hello,
I would want to know the translation of this sentence. I want to include it in a comedy show. The context is when your husband/wife catches you in bed with a lover and you try to deny what is obvious.
In Spanish: "no es lo que parece"
My try: It is not what it looks like
I am not sure if this is correct in this context.

    Thanks a lot

Your translation is fine, but I would use a contraction: It's not what it looks like!

Maybe "it´s not what it seems?" could work

In most other situations, that would be a good translation, but in this context (husband and wife), the most common and natural way is as above.

Thank you so much Gengo and Elsapo. Now I can use the sentence in the show!
