    Alguém sabe me explicar, num português sem figuras de linguagem, o que quer dizer a expressão "no frigir dos ovos"?

    Frigir = fritar.

    Don´t fry the eggs. Ainda não faz sentido.

    Obrigado

    "In the egg frying"?... It's hard to tell without a full sentence.

    It's a set phrase. It could be translated as "at the end of the day", "when it comes down to it", etc., depending on context. Could you provide some?

    And the actual translation is not "don't fry the eggs" it would be something more like "during the frying of the eggs". As said before it means "all in all", "at the end of the day", "when it comes down to it", "when the chips are down", "in the moment of truth", "when push comes to shove" etc.

    Tem mais :D

    No frigir dos ovos é que a manteiga chia.
    No frigir dos ovos é que se vê a manteiga.
    No fritar dos ovos é que se vê a manteiga que solta.

    É meio livresco.
    Eu diria que é algo como ''no fim de tudo'',
    em inglês seria overall.
