Entonces si valer la pena en ingles es: it is worth porque la cancion de Avril lavinge dice so much for my happy ending?

No valió la pena - es una oración en pasado por lo tanto es: it wasn't worth to...

So much for my happy ending sería algo como "tanto hablar de mi final feliz para esto", "ya le vale a mi final feliz", "tanto final feliz y al final esto"

Seguro que hay una manera más directa de traducirlo pero ahora mismo no me sale

Hmm, I don't know how to translate "so much for" into Spanish. That's a tough one!

lo siento, Ciruelita - but I don't see the connection with the song & the phrase 'valer la pena'? Is that from a Spanish version?

The lyrics -in English- are here:
    http://www.azlyrics.com/lyrics/avrillavigne/myhappyending.html

Any words in the song which may seem positive, are said in a sarcastic or ironic way.

Los palabras de la canción que tienen la apariencia de bueno, son sarcástico.

Another way to express "vale la pena" is
    It is worth the effort.
(or the work, or the trouble.)
