Here is another sentence I am having difficulties understanding, let alone translating it into English. Would you please help? The blue part is where I need the most help . . ..

    Original :
«Pues el gallo lo q/ quiere es no volver a defraudar a Miguelito pues al Laredo, TX con Miguelito . . .».

Note: Laredo, TX may not be the city of Laredo, Texas, USA, but a nickname for a person from there, just as "el gallo" is probably a nickname for somebody . . ..

    Mi intento:
So what the rooster wants is to not cheat (or "disappoint?" Miquelito (Mickey) again, but rather cheat (or disappoint?") Laredo, TX with Miguelito."

disappoint sounds better to me... but the last part of your Spanish sentence doesn't make any sense to me... Could you write a little more of it :)

    I agree.. disappoint sounds better:
So what the rooster wants is not to disappoint Miguelito again, but rather disappoint Laredo TX.

... the rest of the sentence is very ambiguous...

Thank you both for your help. I know, it is difficult to understand in any language, but I will give you some more (in green): what makes it even more difficult is the original author doesn't use good punctuation . . ..

«Pues el gallo lo q/ quiere es no volver a defraudar a Miguelito pues al Laredo, TX con Miguelito, este gallo en cualquier palenque va cantar bien firme y contento till is bed time U-know».

    Ahora mi intento nuevo:
"So what the rooster wants is not to disappoint Miguelito again, but rather disappoint Laredo, TX using (?) Miguelito. This rooster, in whatever cockpit he finds himself, will crow strongly and happily until bedtime, you know?"

    ¿Qué les parece?
