    Buongiorno,

    in inglese, è corretto dire:

"We Beatles are a rock band.", ad esempio?

Online non trovo esempi in merito. Solitamente il nome proprio viene omesso.

    I can't imagine the Beatles saying "We Beatles are a rock band/pop group/etc." I can imagine them saying "We're the Beatles and we're a rock band/pop group/etc."

I agree with you,;) but from a purely grammatical viwepoint We Beatles are... is correct: it just sounds so very stilted and formal.;)

So for you it could be used into a sort of "art manifesto"?

I need to translate a document composed of different statements, each of these starts
with the literally translation (in italian) of "We NAME are...."; "We NAME want to..."; etc

I know that is something unusual, expecially with proper nouns which refer to groups.

It sounds like a political statement. Reminds me of the U.S. Constitution (We, the people of the United States, in order to form a more perfect union, etc.)
Maybe with commas, it might work. Does the group name begin with "the"?
    We, the Beatles, ....
    We, the X, ......

Yeah, it's what I meant to express, it can be read as a political statement. The name is without "the".

It sounds strange with just "We." It might work if the members of the group were speaking as individuals:

We, the members of X, .....
