Hi: I work at a public library in the Boston area, and I am writing a flyer to alert more local Spanish-speakers to the presence of Spanish-language books. I am including examples of recent titles, broken down into fiction and nonfiction. I showed it to a friend of mine from Madrid who offered to correct any glaring errors. He thought my use of "no ficción" for nonfiction was bizarre. He suggested "libros sobre otras temas." But I know I have seen "no ficción." Is it simply a neologism coined by semi-literate Anglos such as myself? Thoughts? Other suggestions? Muchas gracias. Estoy profundamente agradecido por la existencia de este foro.
