    Hi...the expression "old stick in the mud" what does it mean? What' s the italian translation? Answer please

    "Stick in the mud" is the "base" phrase which describes someone as "boring" "not fun to be around" "doesn't want to do anything" "unimaginative" "not enthusiastic".

    The "old" is just for emphasis (most likely).

    The translation would be "(vecchio) ramoscello nel fango".

    But a start for a "real" translation would be "noioso".
