    Hello!

According to the internet the following quote is listed as a Native American saying. How would you translate it into your language(s)?

Only after the last tree has been cut down, only after the last river has been poisoned, only after the last fish has been caught, only then will you find that money cannot be eaten.

    In Spanish:

Sólo después de que el último árbol haya sido talado, sólo después de que el último río haya sido envenenado, sólo después de que el último pez haya sido pescado, sólo entonces descubrirás que el dinero no se puede comer.

    In Japanese:

    最後の木が切られた時、最後の魚が釣られた時、最後の川が毒された時、あなたはお金を食べることができないということを悟るだろう。
Saigo no ki ga kirareta toki, saigo no sakana ga tsurareta toki, saigo no kawa ga dokusareta toki, anata wa okane wo taberu koto ga dekinai toiu koto wo satoru darou.

The Spanish version is pretty similar to the English one but the Japanese one prefers to use ''when'' instead of ''only after'' and doesn't use ''only then''.

    Thank you!

(When the last tree has been cut, and the last river has been poisoned, and the last fish has died, we'll discover that we can't eat money)

    Français, France.
    French:
« Quand le dernier arbre sera abattu, la dernière rivière empoisonnée, le dernier poisson capturé, alors le visage pâle réalisera que l'argent ne se mange pas. »

There is many variants of French translation, so I've chosen the one of the French Wikipedia, which seems to be the best one. :)

By the way, this sentence is ascribed to Sitting Bull (Tȟatȟáŋka Íyotake in Lakota).

I've heard also the version with "bird" instead of "fish".

Free translation (I'm sure there must be another translation better than this in Chinese):
    最后一棵树被砍倒了,最后一条河被污染了,最后一条鱼也被捞走了——只有那时,你才会发现仅靠钱是无法维持生计的。
