    Hello,
I am adding a section to a web site called "our supporters." I'm not sure how best to say this in French. The section is for companies who have donated items to our organization but don't fund it as a whole, so I don't want to use "commanditaires."

    Thanks

Hello and welcome to the forum.

commanditaires has a negative image in french because it's often associated with terrorism : le commanditaire de l'attentat...
So, i first thought of "contributeurs", but there might be better...

I like "contributeurs" - what about " nos partenaires"? maybe not specific enough....

"Partisans" sounds too political or too revolutionnary to me

Supporteurs? Personally, I would use nos amis, but you might not want the connotation.

In certain contexts I think "nos fans" or "nos supporters/supporteurs" would work

Nos commanditaires / nos partenaires: for companies and organizations

    Hello,

    Nos contributeurs
would sound a bit strange (to me, it sounds like they add content to the website) but Nos partenaires is exactly what you usually come across on websites. You would also find Nos soutiens, Nos donateurs or Sponsors to some extent. If you need to be more specific, then you can add a subtitle explaining what these companies did for you.

Donateurs is good when there is a donation involved.
You could use "Nos collaborateurs": une personne qui travaille avec quelqu'un d'autre à une entreprise commune

    Ca semble être le cas!

The section is for companies who have donated items to our organization (poste 1)

In the hand-ball team we support, we are usually called: "nos partenaires" or sometimes "nos sponsors". But it is sports.
In a different context "nos (généreux) donateurs" seems better.
    There is also "mécènes".

"mécènes" est peut-être un peu exagéré, non? cela concerne en général un soutien financier très conséquent, alors qu'ici, on ne parle que de "donated items"
