    Cómo se dice paño de lágrimas en inglés?

    Contexto: Dos mujeres con problemas y él era el paño de lágrimas.

    Es decir que él servía de consuelo para las dos mujeres con problemas.

    Well, yes. You could say it like that. But you would probably change it round.

    "He gave me a/his shoulder to cry on"
    "He provided me with a shoulder to cry on"

    It's hard to say because how it sounds depends very much on the context.
