Partida de construcción

    Hola, buenas tardes,

    Me gustaría saber cómo se traduciría "partida de construcción", en el contexto de los proyectos y presupuestos de obra. "Partida de construcción" en castellano designa cada una de las actividades a realizarse en una obra. Ejemplos de partidas: cimentación, estructura, fontanería, pintura...
    ¿Sería item, como en otro tipo de presupuestos?

    Simplemente "item". El término "line item" se ve casi exclusivamente en la locución "line-item veto", veto parcial.

    In a contract or an estimate, "line item" would be fine. In a general sense, "phase of construction" or "construction phase" would be commonly used, especially if they are done one after another.

    So I guess both "item" and "line item" would be OK?

    "Line item" is rarely used - it would be specific to political budgets, where a particular item would be removed.
    "Item" (and its synonyms) is much more common, and is as safe to use. It's rather
    generic and useful, just like "articulo" is in Spanish.
