passed under bridge

    The stones fell into the running water of the stream and passed under bridge.

    Is that wrong? Does it have to have an "a" before the noun, "bridge"?

    Yes, you need an article with 'bridge', either 'a' or 'the', depending on whether or not it is a bridge you identified earlier.
