Ciao a tutti, devo tradurre questa frase:

"Per quanto riguarda la durata del prestito, mi puoi confermare che sarà di almeno due settimane?"

    così va bene?

"As far as the loan duration is concerned, can you confirm that it will be at least two weeks?"

In the case of a library book, I think the normal phrase would be "loan period".

I think it would be more natural to say,

"How long may I keep the book when I check it out? Will it be at least 2 weeks?"

"check out" is the phrasal verb for borrowing a library book.

I think the Brits use it too, but verify that with one of them :)

I've never heard anyone say 'check out a library book' in the UK.

We usually say 'take out a library book' here in the Midlands. (the central area of England)

Agreed, but the Italian phrase seems rather formal (despite the "puoi").
More informally a library user might say: "Il prestito é di due settimane, vero?"
