Persian: تپه‌های لرزان شنی

    Again, from the autobiography of the man from Yazd:
    منظره تابش آفتاب بر روی تپه‌های لرزان شنی که مانند پشته‌ای از طلای مذاب جلوه می‌کردند و نگاه حسرت‌بار به طرف تفت، یعنی جایی که برایم سرچشمه مهر و محبت و تعلق بود و خود را به آن وابسته احساس می‌کردم، پس از قریب به هشتاد سال هنوز از خاطرم محو نشده است.​
    Please, how would you translate تپه‌های لرزان شنی? Or is it تپه‌های لرزان شن, with the ی being there because of the word که?

    Thank you - but do the hills in Yazd really shake? Are there a lot of earth tremors or something?

    It is talking about "sand dunes" which are not solid rock hills , they're sand piled up by wind so to describe them as "shaky" could refer to the fact that these dunes can change shape through time and the wind often blows the sand around them , also it could refer to the effect of hot air ascending from the dunes which creates a wavy/distorted visual effect.
