    Greetings,

I remember asking an Iranian friend of mine, “فرهنگ داری؟”. He laughed, and explained in Persian that I'd just asked him if he had any culture. He then told me I should have said something like “فرهنگِ لغت داری؟”.

Do I understand correctly, please? Hopefully it's visible – I tried to put a kasre after the word فرهنگ.

    Best wishes, and many thanks,

    Simon

Yes, you understand correctly. Correct is فرهنگ لغت/لغتنامه/ديكشنري داري؟

It is the reason that I'm putting an underline instead of a Kasreh in this situation always. I would like to be sure you can see the Kasreh :)

Thank you so much, all is clear now.

Indeed, I am truly beginning to appreciate the advantages of your underlining words with a final kasre:)!
