    Hi

What are your various ways of saying, "I'm stuck on a problem!"?

Is one of them "یه مشکلی گیر کرده ام", or have I misheard? Somehow it doesn't seem very grammatical.

    Best

Persians say "I'm stuck in a problem". Therefore there should be تو(ی)ـ or در at the beginning.
تو یه مشکلی گیر کرده ام

Apart from moshkel/mushkil, is musiibat مصیبت also used in Persian in this context?

مصیبت is more serious than مشکل. It means tragedy or disaster while مشکل just means trouble or problem. مشکل is solvable while مصییبت can be relieved but not solved.
