Persian: just as for us

    Greetings,

I'm trying to say the following: “Just (i.e. exactly) as for us Welsh, for you Iranians too, light is born in the east.”

    My tuppenceworth:
برایم جالب این است که، همانند برای ما ولزیها، برای شما هم «نور از شرق میدمد»!ا
What is interesting to me is that just as for us Welsh, for you Iranians too, light is born in the east.

My problem is ‘just as for us’ – is همانند برای ما correct, please, or are some words missing in order to make it grammatically correct?

Naturally, "light is born in the east" is figurative - in this case I have in mind the light of the Iranian language and culture, spreading as it did westwards from Khorasan in the east to the rest of Iran during the linguistic renaissance which culminated in Ferdowsi's Shahnameh.

With thanks to Morteza for the inspiration!

    All the best,

    Simon

I'd go for پیش ما, not for برای ما here.

Many thanks to our friend marrish for the excellent suggestion. So, how about the following?
    همانند پیش ما ولزیها
And would the correct pronunciation be "ham
    ānand-e pish-e mā Velzihā", please?

It is wrong in modern Persian. پيش ما is not used in such a sentences.
The common form of نور از شرق می‌دمد in modern Persian is خورشيد از مشرق طلوع مي‌كند.
It is right, but not nice.

You are welcome my dear friend.
