    Greetings,

Again I'm looking for the most natural way of saying something in Colloquial Persian, please.

In the film, the man who is moving house tells Karim to take a cardboard box upstairs. What would be the most usual way to say this, please? In English it would be, “Take this box upstairs!” Would one phrase this the same way in Persian, or would one be more likely to say, "Take this box and go upstairs (with it)"?

It's a cardboard box with some household items in it, exactly the sort of thing used when people move house in the west and in Turkey too. I don't know if جعبه is right here – perhaps you say something else?

    Best wishes, and many thanks,

    Simon

    For a cardboard box:
    اين كارتن را ببر بالا

    For a wooden/plastic/etc. box:
    اين جعبه را ببر بالا

    Many thanks, excellent.

Would "این کارتنو بگیر برو بالا" be poor style or just unusual and not very natural?

It is not wrong, just a little bit unusual. We normally will say ببر not برو in this situations.

This reminds me a sentence from the second chapter of a Teach yourself Urdu book about which a user once asked in this forum. The difference is in the word 'box', صندوق was used.
