    Hi,
    Still struggling with legal terms.
Does this mean to the postpone the Judge's decision? which is the appropiate phrase in this case?

    Thanks in advance,
    Ternura

I'm thinking it should be "supplemental jurisdiction."

Technically, it's not possible to extend a judge's jurisdiction. Only a court can have jurisdiction. Courts cannot increase their jurisdiction. But in a case that has been filed in one jurisdiction, if another party later enters the case, it is possible to get "supplemental jurisdiction" that crosses from one state into another.
