We accept your decision, whatever it may be. On accept votre décision, quoi qu'il soit. ??
Joe says the committee no longer exists. Be that as it may, Ed, Carol and Susan still meet every Monday evening. Joe insiste que la comité n'existe plus. Quoi qu'il en soit, Ed, Carol et Susan se rejoignent chaques lundi soir. ??

Does French make the same distinction between "whatever it may be" and "be that as it may" as does English?
And are my translations into French correct?

Could you please formulate a question?

whatever it may be : ..., quelle qu'elle soit (elle, votre décision)
Be that as it may : Quoi qu'il en soit, ...
