    Hola, estoy traduciendo un sitio de ayuda humanitaria y me encontré con este término que no conozco.
    Lo busqué en la web y no hay mucha info. Qué es fooritng??

    "Our contribution helped give .... a chance to regain their fooritng after theis natural disaster had taken away so much from them"

    Regain their footing means to regain their stability or get back to normal.

    Footings used in the building industry are cement blocks, posts, or walls that provide a stable base on which to build a structure.

    En tu ejemplo, me parece que la palabra es "footing" como recobrar el equilibrio o la confianza.
    En el primero de tus links también, puede ser un error. En este caso el footing es el cimiento de la pared.
    En el segundo, nada de lo que escribe esa persona tiene sentido.

    Oh, I missed the second one:

    The poster typed incorrectly. It should say, "The FIL (father-in-law) has been footing the bill for rental of stuff..." meaning that the father-in-law is paying for things.

    Gracias a ambos, tienen razón, tal vez sea un error de tipeo del autor.
    Voy a consultar.
