"Residuos urbanos" refers to the waste produced by visitors to a national park; I'm considering using "rubbish", but I'm curious to hear other alternatives. Perhaps there is a more technical term for this kind of waste?

    muchas gracias.

    Hi!

I think "la basura que dejan/producen los visitantes" is fine. "Residuos urbanos", if I am not wrong, it refers more to the sort of waste products of a normal city... but I might be wrong.

    Un saludo

I think I have got this wrong. Are you translating into English or Spanish, sic?

Ithil, you're right. I misread the part about the national park. Maybe just plain "basura" will do.

I think "waste" would be fine, then.

In this instance in England we would say "litter" for example, in a National Park you would see signs saying "Please do not litter" or "Do not drop litter" it is more polite

Thank you very much for your replies. I think in this case I will go with litter.
