restauration collective

    Is this the equivalent of a chain restaurant? Could some one clarify for me, please?

    No, it's not a chain restaurant.
    it means catering for a community, a group (school,nursing home...)

    I don't think it is... Restaurant is the same in french and chain... is Chaîne but I'm not quite shure about how the expression would work... It might be something different.

    Actually, I'm trying to help a French friend with the English translation of his c.v. Can anyone propose a translation professional enough to be included in a resume? Thanks!

    I've seen the expressions "institutional catering" (for corporations) and "school catering" (for schools obviously;) ), but I don't if there is a global expression.
