Somebody could help me with this paragraph, please?

However, the recent National Institute of Health- funded resuscitation outcomes consortium trial of hipertonic saline in TBI resuscitation in adults was stopped for futility after enrollment 0f 1073 patients.

I am starting in translation and the entire paragraph its very confused for me, but the more difficult part is the underlined one. . Thank you.

I can't translate it but it may be easier for you to translate it if we reword it a bit. This was a trial, funded by the NIH and carried out by a consortium, that studied the outcomes (the results) of resuscitation using hypertonic saline.

I don't know either, but I do know that Resuscitation Outcomes Consortium (ROC) is a proper noun. It's the name of a North American research network.
