RHF - Restauration Hors Foyer / RHD - Restau Hors Domicile

    Bonjour,

    Comment traduisez-vous les termes de RHF (Restuaration Hors Foyer) ou RHD (ou Restauration Hors Domicile). Cela englobe tous les modes de restaurations types ventes à emporter, station autoroutes, repas dans le train / avion et par extension les Retaurateurs, Hôtels (= CHR Café Hotel Restaurant).
    Pour l'instant, j'utilise le terme de "non-residential catering" mais je ne suis pas sûre que ce soit compréhensible.

    Ces termes RHF / RHD viennent en opposition aux produits que nous proposons pour la Grande Distribution (GMS).

    Termium calls it the "eating out industry" but I think I would call it the "restaurant business."

    Ici, on ne distingue pas de restauration "hors domicile" et dans un domicile. C'est simplement, "catering." Alors, je crois que "non-residential catering" marche assez bien.

    Away from Home Foodservice

    Is this different from "Out of Home" which is what seems to come up in my research?

    I'm sure thet Pleasewait's answer is correct, but I bet nobody outside the industry will be familiar with the phrase Away from Home Foodservice. Most of us call this Catering. (If it was at home we'd call it Cooking.)
