Thank you all, as pressure is not a good helper i had to get up from my chair and take the 15 seconds vacation.
I went to an undersea jungle and spend some time hunting with captain Nemo and Ned Land.
After that i came back to the keyboard and found the translation.
Muchas gracias a tod@s, adoro este foro!!

Perdón pero cuenta corriente es checking account.

You should write the entire sentence to give you a more accurate translation. It's something like "When/By viewing/reviewing/checking the checking account balance, ..." The "generan..." part isn't even worth translating, because of the lack of context.

When I see "current account," I think of an account which is active. I've visited citi.com, bankofamerica.com, chase.com, and ing.com, and I don't have an option to "open a current account."

    We have current accounts.
I'm not sure if they are the same as (US) checking accounts, though.

I meant, what institutions do you guys bank at? I'd love to leaf through their websites.

    edit -

Never mind. Found it sitting right there on the Barclays website.
    "Current Account Plus"

    Thanks, Masood.
And there's your answer, 3.1416. Either "checking account" or "current account", depending on your target audience, although Masood and I aren't sure they're the same thing.
