se lava el pelo con champú y no jabón (not soap)

    Hello,

    I want to write the Spanish equivalent of "He washes his hair with shampoo, not soap." Is the following translation appropriate? Se lava el pelo con champú y no jabón. It sounds odd to me but I can't think of another way to express the idea.

    Español - Spanish (Spain)
    Es correcto: "Se lava el pelo/cabello con champú y no con jabón". Añadiría el "con".

    De acuerdo con Rubns, yo usaría de preferencia cabello.

    "Se lava el cabello con champú y no con jabón".
