    Hello everyone,

I'm not sure about the meaning of "set on" here.

"If he wasn't set on getting married in a church, he'd do it at a spot like this."

The spot is a nice Country Club.

Is it "S'il n'avait pas décidé / prévu de se marier dans une église ?"
    Really not sure :)

    Thanks for any help !

    C'est plutôt "s'il n'était pas décidé à se marier....".

La différence est mince, je sais...

Ok, merci Michelvar :) La différence est mince, en effet, mais elle est bien là

    Bonjour sophie,

"To be set on" is stronger than simply "to decide". It means "être déterminé".

[Edit]: Cross-posted. Michelvar's use of se décider goes in the same direction as my thought.

    Ws:)
