Slovene: drago kot pes

    Kaj pa pomeni drago kot pes? Predrago?

    Drago kot pes pomeni zelo drago.

    To express high price, drago kot žafran is even more common than drago kot pes, in my mind and at google counts. When comparing "like a dog", the usual phrase is laže kot pes. The phrases pasje vroče or pasja vročine are also common.
