    Hi,
    I read this on a job ad and I'm not sure what it means.
    The sentence is: looking for someone with initiative and a sound work ethic.

    In this kind of job context, you often hear the term sérieux to describe work habits.

    'Sound' in this sense would imply both "saine" (in the sense of honesty) and "solide" (in the sense of stedfastness).
