Hello, I am translating a court filing (Costa Rica) and am having difficulty with the phrase "suspension del cargo"

Here is the wording in the Spanish original:

. . . me presento a reiterar la solicitud de medida cautelar de suspension del cargo

    Here is my attempt:

. . . come forth to reiterate the request for a precuationary measure to suspend the act

    On second thought, maybe . . .

suspension de cargo = suspend the appointment?

Yes, we are. It involves a false notarized document that names a new company manager. The plaintiffs, therefore, want a holding order to prevent the newly named manager from acting in that capacity (for instance, selling company property). That is why I am thinking maybe cargo = appointment here. But please let me know what you think. Thanks a million!
