syllable division

    I am not sure about how to divide the word "brothers" in syllables.
    Is it bro-thers or broth-ers? I think the second one is correct but I know that the British and American division may differ. Thank you for your help

    I always use Merriam-Webster to check syllable breaks when proof-reading. It says that it's split broth·er.
