Hello. Consider this sentence: "a bit-part actor who finally made the big time in Hollywood"

How to translate "big time" into Chinese? The definition given is this:
the highest or most successful level in a career. I would like to learn how to say it in Chinese in a colorful way, thanks.

If you want to express it in a colorful way, I guess you can't stick to a word-to-word translation. You've gotta change the whole sentence's structure to make it more colorful.
    一个跑龙套的小角色终于成了好莱坞大明星
    一个小配角终于开创了属于自己的好莱坞大时代

    How about 名声大噪? 这个跑龙套的终于在好莱坞名声大噪。

Thanks for the responses all but please my aim is not to translate that sentence. It was merely meant to provide context in which the expression big time was found. What I truly wish to find out is how to translate big time.

Well then I don't see anything wrong with 大时代, or in the context, 名声大噪...

    Chinese
Big Time: "The most prestigious level of attainment in a competitive field"
and with the context you give, I suggest "事业的巅峰/顶峰 (career at its peak)"
