I was reading an article which makes an obscure reference to a German news article with the title 'The British are to blame'. I have been searching for it, using the term "die Briten sind daran schuld" - is this a reasonable translation of the English phrasing ?

thank you very much for yor help,

If it was a German title, it could also just have said "Die Briten sind schuld."

English but my first language was German
Why not google {Briten schuld spiegel}? you'll get a lot of candidate problems the British can be blamed for.

BTW It would be a lot easier to help if you bothered to share with us the problem that was being blamed on the Brits.
