The period between planting and the first harvest in early subsistence French farming? Soledare, soldure? Often a period of almost famine like existence/survival.

Welcome to the Forum! Can you clarify, please: are you looking for a word in French or a word in Spanish?

The word is soudure ... periode de soudure.

The gap [bridge] between planting and harvesting in substance agriculture.

    Thanks for your quick response.

So that's the French word. The English one is "hunger gap" or "lean season". But this is a Spanish forum, do you want the Spanish word, or is it just a wrong forum choice?
