Does the phrase in the title make grammatical sense?

También existen muchas leyes para proteger la igualdad

This is not an appropriate question for this forum. Please specify which grammar structure is confusing to you, and show us the complete sentence. If you could also show us the original sentence in English and tell us where it's from, that would also be very helpful and collaborative on your part.

    Thank you.

Since you didn't specify a grammar structure, I'll give you my attempt at a translation:
Hay muchas leyes que protegen la igualdad entre hombres y mujeres.
Existen muchas leyes que protegen la igualdad de género.
