    Hi everyone!
What does "a natural for" mean here?

"Beauchamp was Edgar Halcyon's son-in-law, the husband of post-post-debutante DeDe Halcyon. A graduate of Groton and Standford, the handsome young Bostonian had been a natural for The Bachelors when he moved to San Francisco as a Bank of America trainee in 1971."

It's a passage in Tales of the City, by Armistead Maupin.

    Thanks :)
