'to have someone's best interests at heart'

    Hii. Does anybody know how to say in French: ''to have someone's best interests at heart''? Or something to those words lol? Any help = greatly appreciated ^^.

    Also, you should change the title to be 'to have someone's best interests at heart'' so people can easily search for threads. Almost every thread here is a translation.

    I mean it in the context that ''a child should respect their parents because they have their best interests at heart.''

    Would that work..?
