    Hello,

j'aime bien écrire, et souvent j'utilise le verbe penser. Je voudrais pouvoir utiliser une autre verbe ou expression pour dire la même chose, comme "to hold a position" ou "to hold an opinion." Savez-vous un autre mot que je peux utiliser pour exprimer ça?

    Merci,

    brian

    Bonjour,

Voici quelques synonymes ou quasi-synonymes de penser :

comprendre, croire, imaginer, juger, méditer, raisonner, réfléchir, rêver, songer.

    Est-ce que ça ira ?;)

Thanks! I think what I was asking for (in English, in case my French sucks), was the following: In english, I know a lot of synonims for the word "to think", one of which is "to hold a position," or "to hold an opinion."

For example: "I hold the opinion that blue is a pretty color"

    or

"She holds the position that we're just not right for each other, but I disagree."

I was just wondering if there were some.......... more poetic ways of saying this in French so I don't always have to use *penser* and *croire*, which seem to be very overused in the things I write :(

Thank you again for your help :)

@jierbe - thank you for your suggestions as well :)

Une expression complémentaire à laquelle je n'avais pas pensé :
    - Je suis d'avis que/Il m'est avis que + indicatif.
