    Hola,

What is the correct term in Spanish to say that someone 'harms themselves' in the context of physical self-harm?

I think that it is "auto-lesionarse" but wait for native replies

Hola!

Autolesionarse/autolesión it what I've heard the most.

    Hola a todos,

¿está bien si traduzco "self-harm" como "autoflagelación"?

    Desde ya, muchas gracias.

Does "self-harm" always imply physical damage? Could it be used when someone is having a life which is damaging him mentally, socioeconomically, etc..?
