TOLLS the probation

    The judge says: the violation of probation occurred before the ending date which TOLLS the probation. Translation in Spanish, anyone?

    Perhaps you'll get a better response if it is explained that "toll" in this context means to suspend, or temporarily stop, the counting of time.
