I am not sure how to express this idea. When someone has an excess amount of something, in English we might say, "He has too many ___ to count." Too many troubles, too many cats, anything.

Él tiene demasiados gatos. = He has too many cats. But I know the verb contar won't work here.

Is there an idiomatic expression that I can learn?

    Thanks.

I believe an equivalent exists - "Tiene demasidos _______ para contarlos."

Correct me if I'm wrong :)
