Ensuite, tu peux proposer ta ou tes traduction(s) ici pour qu'on te donne nos avis.

I have a question for native speakers. To describe Gimli the first words that came to my mind were "short and stout", because my 3-years-old listens to the "little teapot" nursery rhyme about 40 times a day.
But is it possible for a British person to hear "short and stout" without connecting it to the nursery rhyme, is it someting you can say seriously?

And could "short and stout" be a translation for "trapu"?

'Short and stout' is perfectly possible, but in this case I would definitely prefer 'short and stocky'. 'Stout' implies too much excess fat for Gimli. :)
