Tunisian Arabic: Machlan el39ba lik العقبى ليك

    Can someone please translate this for me, I am totallly lost!!

    Hello!

    It's almost impossible to help you because you don't give any context. In which situation was this phrase used, by whom, to whom, in which country...

    The only thing that springs to mind now would be that it could be a response to a congratulation ('May it happen to you too'), but it's difficult to tell what "machlan" could refer to.

    It seems that "Machlan" is a name of someone

    and Finland gave you the meaning of العقبة ليك

    Thanks for helping me. It is in reference to the birth of a new baby and it was used in Tunisia. Your response actually makes sense so thank you very much for your time and effort.
